How do you feel the financial markets are going to affect your family

well im hoping it wont get too bad but thats not realistic i think, it will affect me quite a bit, i am self employed so i will probly lose a lot of clients. i really have no control over it so i will go on doing what im doing and pray that things go well for everybody.

The people with old cars, un cut lawns & money under there pillow will be just fine. Unfortunately the greed has killed people along with the government allowing sub prime & reverse amortization mortgages to anyone with a job. Twenty years ago most people over 40 had a net worth of 35%, todays its in the negative. Everyone ran out leasing new cars, carrying balances on there credit cards, buying furniture with no payments for a year, changing cell phones annually, multiple computers & LCD Televisions, gardeners & of course pulling out any equity on credit that was available, Just because people have new cars, furniture & homes doesnt mean things were good 5 years ago. Next time people will aspire to be that unmaintained house down the street with a 15 year old car. That person is sitting pretty.
